This logo is for a newly developed community outside of D.C. This family friendly community is easily accessible to the metropolitan area, but well-known for its big box convenience and clean suburban feel. The logo went through several iterations, my favorite here: Followed by a more modern, less ‘country-club’ version here: Until we finally settled […]
Health care is notorious for acronyms. This logo commission came from a well published, highly educated PhD, who quote “had no clue about logos.” I wanted to avoid the obvious mountain references and go for an emblem. I saw this logo functioning as a ‘stamp of approval’ for any programs that were “STEEEP” certified.
I was asked to bring some uniformity to the Cruise Icons used throughout our site. So I channeled my inner skipper and created a batch of similarly styled and colored marks. These icons represent various discounts, such as Free Upgrades and Group Discounts. And some represent activities available to the shopper while deciding between cruise […]
We launched an internal Employee Recognition program at Travelocity. Its a pretty sweet award, the winner gets “Gnominated” for excellent service and wins $1500 in a travel voucher, and the best part… a paid day off to enjoy it. So when they asked me to design a certificate, I figured, why not throw in a […]
Last weekend I was in Chicago, celebrating the upcoming marriage of my very best friend Meghan! This is my third time to Chicago, and I’ve always been in June. Needless to say, I am in love this town. Its like a laid-back Manhattan, with all the great shopping and not all the attitude. We spent […]
Needing a little inspiration to kick off 2012? Me too. Each month I’m going post a gallery of some great logos. Good design begins in black and white, so here are a few gems I’ve collected from various sources: Dribbble, a cutting edge source for great interactive design, Designspiration (the name seems fairly explanatory) but […]
With the increasing accident rates due to texting while driving, Baylor’s emergency department wanted to launch a local campaign to raise awareness. Dallas area high schools were asked to sign “No text and drive” pledge slips, employees were also involved by wearing buttons around the hospital. I wanted the logo to reflect icons synonymous with […]
The Twice Blessed House is a temporary home away from home for families and patients undergoing transplant surgery at Baylor. The client asked that the logo be warm and friendly to convey a welcoming environment for its guests. Sometimes my favorite logos aren’t always […]
A commission from a Human Resources department to develop a logo for a company wide employee recognition program. They wanted to keep their red and black color scheme, but revamp the look to be fun and fresh! I’m excited to roll this logo out on various collateral pieces, stay tuned!
This was a logo design for a rowdy group of Nurses hosting an annual convention. The team leaders aka “coaches” wanted to wear baseball shirts. I took the theme and made a fun patriotic, ballpark inspired logo. The two color version we used on tshirts and the one color version was used on promotional items given out at the event.
